Earthquake in Nepal

An earthquake with magnitude 7.5 occurred near Pokhara, Nepal at 06:11:25.80 UTC on Apr 25, 2015.

An earthquake measuring 7.5 magnitude struck 80 km east of Pokhara in Nepal on Saturday, about half way between the town and the capital Kathmandu, the U.S. Geological Survey said, and witnesses said some buldings in Kathmandu had collapsed.
There was no immediate word on casualties. The quake was 31 km deep.
12:50 pm: PM is trying to reach Nepal PM Shri Sushil Koirala, who is abroad. He has spoken to President of Nepal Shri Ram Baran Yadav.
12:46 pm: At least one person was killed when an old building collapsed in the premises of the Indian consulate in Kathmandu when a massive earthquake shook the country on Saturday.
The dead person was a Nepalese national, according to a journalist based in Nepal.

12:20 pm: Massive tremors have been felt in many parts of northern India including Noida, Kolkata and Lucknow.
12:15 pm: Metro services have been halted in Kolkata and tunnel being checked for cracks.
12:09 pm: People across northern India rushed out of their homes and offices on Saturday after strong tremors were felt.
12:05 pm: The quake hit neighbouring Pakistan as well.
Mohammad Shahab, a resident from Lahore, Pakistan, says he was sitting in his office when the earthquake rocked the city.
He says the tremors continued for a while but now the situation is normal in the city.
